Nikon Z6 24.5MP Full Frame Mirrorless Camera Body

Product identity

The Nikon Z6 is a 24.5MP full-frame mirrorless camera body designed for photographers and videographers who need a balance of resolution, speed and low-light performance. It uses a new larger Z mount with a short 16mm flange distance for compact optical designs. The body is compatible with Z Nikkor lenses and over 360 F-mount Nikkor lenses via adapter.

Build integration

The short flange distance and large-diameter mount allow the use of compact Z-mount lenses while maintaining full compatibility with existing F-mount glass through an adapter. This frees users from carrying separate lens systems when transitioning from a Nikon DSLR setup. The lightweight mirrorless construction reduces overall kit weight for travel and extended shooting sessions.

Target user

This camera suits creators who want high ISO performance up to 51,200 native, 12 fps continuous shooting and 4K ultra-HD video with full pixel readout in a single body. Buyers who need higher resolution sensors, dual card slots or integrated vertical grips should consider other models. Those requiring 8K video recording as a primary feature will find the 8K time-lapse capability limited compared to dedicated video cameras.
