Nikon Z6 Full Frame Mirrorless Camera Body 24.5MP

Ideal balance camera

The Nikon Z6 full-frame mirrorless body targets photographers who want a single camera that handles resolution, speed and low-light performance without compromise. Its lightweight design and short 16mm flange distance keep the kit compact while the large-diameter Z mount supports new Z Nikkor lenses and over 360 F-mount Nikkor lenses via adapter. The 24.5MP backside-illuminated sensor pairs with a 273-point on-sensor phase-detect AF system for responsive focusing across the frame.

12 fps burst spec

The single specification that decides fit is the 12 fps continuous rate with 12-bit raw or JPEG output, which covers fast action and fleeting moments. 4K Ultra HD video uses full pixel readout, while 120/1080P slow motion and 8K time-lapse extend creative options. Native ISO reaches 51,200 for clean low-light work, and the Z mount's optical design aims at higher resolving power across the frame.

Hybrid shooters not high-res specialists

This body suits hybrid shooters who split time between stills and video and value the Z system's lens flexibility. Buyers who need higher pixel counts for large prints or heavy cropping should look at something else, as will anyone requiring dual card slots or a built-in vertical grip for extended battery life.
