Lens cap for 35mm Aureus T1.4

This aluminium front cap protects the front element of the 35mm Aureus T1.4 cinema lens from dust, scratches and impacts during transport and storage. It is designed specifically for that focal length within the 18 to 85mm Aureus Prime range.

Build fit and handling

The cap presses securely onto the lens front and will not dislodge accidentally when the camera moves or is packed in a case. Internal foam cushions the glass while the aluminium shell resists knocks, and the low-profile design leaves matte-box clearance untouched.

Low-light identification

Glow-in-the-dark paint on the cap surface shows the 35mm marking after brief exposure to light, letting a focus puller or operator confirm the focal length in dark studios or night exteriors without a torch. The coating does not fade under normal production use and needs no batteries.

Questions about this item

What is the widest focal length this cap is built to fit?

The cap is designed to fit the Aureus Prime range from 18 mm through 85 mm, so the widest supported focal length is 18 mm.

Does the aluminium body or the inner foam affect how hot the lens gets during all-day shoots?

The cap is only used when the lens is not shooting; it has no active cooling or heating, so it does not change the lens temperature during operation.

Which specific lens model must I already own for this cap to work?

It is made for the Nisi 35 mm AUREUS T1.4 cinema lens and matches the front of that lens.
