Natural Field of View for Cinema

The NiSi 35mm T1.4 Aureus Prime is a full-frame cinema prime designed for PL-mount cameras. Its 46mm imaging circle covers large sensors while delivering a natural perspective that balances depth and spatial awareness. The lens serves cinematographers who need consistent color rendering across a matched set.

Virtually Zero Focus Breathing

This lens replaces primes that exhibit visible breathing during focus pulls. The 300-degree focus rotation allows precise, repeatable marks for critical focus work. The jump is worth it when focus transitions must remain compositionally stable across a scene.

Sustained Manual Focus Operation

Dual glow-in-the-dark focus scales stay readable in low-light conditions during extended takes. The 90mm front diameter and 86mm filter thread accommodate standard matte boxes without vignetting. Weight of 2.8 lb and compact 4.33 x 3.54 x 3.54 in dimensions keep the rig balanced on gimbals or handheld rigs for long shooting days.

Questions about this item

Will the 90mm front diameter and 86mm filter thread fit my existing matte box?

The lens has a 90mm front diameter and 86mm filter thread; check your matte box clamp range and filter tray size to confirm compatibility.

How do I mount this lens on an Arri Maxi PL camera and what step is often missed?

Align the PL mount lugs with the camera's locking ring, rotate until it clicks, then secure the locking collar; the step often missed is fully tightening the collar after the initial click.

Do the dual glow-in-the-dark focus scales need any maintenance to stay visible?

The glow-in-the-dark scales recharge under ambient light; no maintenance is required, but keep the lens barrel clean so the markings remain legible.
