Nisi 40.5 mm variable ND filter with knurled aluminium frame and optical glass

Nisi

Nisi 40.5 mm True Colour Variable ND Filter 1-5 Aperture (ND2-ND32) video accessory

SKU CH-JYV2-8ZWY0

A 40.5 mm variable neutral-density filter giving 1 to 5 stops of light reduction without colour shift or “X” patterning

  • True colour coating eliminates yellow tint for neutral colour rendering
  • No "X" effect across 1–5 aperture stops with gradual rotation
  • 20-layer multi-nano coating resists water, oil and reflections
  • Larger front thread prevents vignetting on 16 mm lenses

True Colour Variable ND Filter

The Nisi 40.5 mm variable neutral density filter provides adjustable light reduction from ND2 to ND32, covering one to five aperture stops. Exclusive True Colour coating eliminates the yellow tint common with other filters for neutral colour rendering. Multi-nano coatings on both sides resist water and oil while minimising reflections. A larger front thread and matte black interior prevent vignetting even on 16 mm wide-angle lenses. Knurled aluminium frame edges give a secure grip for quick attachment and removal.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Videographers and photographers needing smooth, stepless exposure control without colour shift will benefit from the True Colour coating and X-effect-free rotation. The filter suits 40.5 mm thread lenses and works well on ultra-wide focal lengths down to 16 mm. Buyers requiring densities darker than ND32 or a larger filter thread size should consider alternative models. Those who prefer fixed-strength ND filters rather than a variable design should also look at other options.
