What the 49mm ND64 filter is for

The NiSi HUC PRO Nano IR ND64 is a 49mm circular neutral density filter that cuts light by 6 stops using a 1.8 density optical glass. It is designed for photographers who need longer exposures or wider apertures in bright conditions such as landscape and long-exposure work.

Check your lens thread before ordering

Verify that your lens has a 49mm front filter thread to match this filter size. The slim aluminium frame with double-sided threading allows stacking with other filters, so confirm there is enough clearance on your specific lens to avoid vignetting when multiple filters are mounted.

How it fits into a filter stack

The knurled edges give secure grip for quick attachment and removal while the nano coating resists water, scratches and reflections for easy cleaning. Infrared reduction coating helps prevent unwanted colour casts at small apertures, and the slim profile keeps the stack compact for wide-angle use.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the box and is a front lens cap included?

The filter ships in its protective case; a front lens cap is not supplied so you will need to use your existing cap or buy one separately.

The filter is marked ND64 and 1.8 density — how do I know this is the right strength for my needs?

ND64 and 1.8 density both describe the same 6-stop light reduction; choose this density when you want to lengthen exposures or open the aperture by six full stops.

Will the 6-stop reduction still give clean colour when I shoot long exposures at small apertures?

The built-in IR-cut layer blocks infrared light that causes red colour casts, so colours stay neutral even during multi-second exposures at narrow apertures.
