This three-lens add-on kit completes the original Athena Prime five-lens set for full-frame cinema cameras. It supplies an 18mm T2.2, a 40mm T1.9 and a 135mm T2.2, all sharing the same PL mount. Filmmakers who already own the core set gain wider, standard and short-telephoto focal lengths without changing lens families.

Thermal and Power Behaviour

These are passive cine lenses with no internal electronics, fans or motors, so they generate no heat and draw no power during operation. Silent manual focus and iris rings add zero acoustic noise to a set. The only thermal consideration is ambient temperature affecting barrel expansion, which is normal for all-metal cinema glass.

Build, Mount and Daily Handling

Each lens uses a PL mount with identical iris and focus ring positions to the rest of the Athena range, allowing fast lens swaps on matte boxes or follow-focus rigs without re-gearing. A magnetic rear filter holder is included for quick ND or diffusion changes. The set is not for shooters needing autofocus, electronic metadata or lighter-weight mirrorless-native mounts.
