NiSi S Adapter for Sony 12-24mm f/4

This adapter ring connects the Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G lens to the NiSi S5 150mm filter holder system. It is built from aluminium and features a 72mm male thread that matches the lens front. The design targets photographers who want to use NiSi S-series filters on this specific ultra-wide zoom without vignetting.

Check lens thread and filter system

Verify that your Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G lens has an undamaged 72mm front thread before ordering. Confirm you own or plan to buy the NiSi S5 150mm filter holder kit, as this ring is made for that holder. The adapter will not fit lenses with a different thread size or other filter holder systems.

Thermals noise and power

The adapter is a passive aluminium ring with no moving parts, electronics or power requirements. It produces no heat, no noise and draws no current during use. Handling temperature is unaffected and the ring adds negligible mass to the lens front.

Will using this adapter with the S5 holder cause vignetting at the 12mm wide end?

The ring is engineered to prevent vignetting when paired with the S5 holder on the Sony 12-24mm lens.
