Adjusts light reduction from 1 to 5 stops on 82mm lenses with smooth density transition and marked stop values
The Nisi True Color variable ND mounts on lenses with an 82mm front thread and delivers an exposure reduction of 1 to 5 stops. Density ranges from .3 to 1.5 and is adjusted by rotating the front ring, which is marked with stop values for repeatable settings. A silver lever is included for finer control, and the knurled side grip eases installation and removal.
Confirm that your lens has an 82mm filter thread before ordering. Wide-angle lenses may show vignetting at the stronger density settings, so test at your widest focal length. The filter adds physical thickness to the front of the lens, which can affect hood compatibility and matte-box clearance. Ensure your rig can accommodate the extra depth.
Videographers and photographers who need to balance aperture and shutter speed on the fly will benefit from the smooth, marked rotation. It is less suited for productions requiring more than 5 stops of reduction or for users who prefer fixed-density filters for maximum optical consistency. Buyers needing a larger thread size or a wider stop range should look elsewhere.

The filter ships with a lens cap and a filter pouch pro included in the package.
The 1-5 stop filter covers ND 0.3 to 1.5 density; the Swift add-on kit extends the range to 5-9 stops when combined with this filter.
It provides an exposure reduction of 1 to 5 stops, letting you use wider apertures or slower shutter speeds while the transition remains smooth across the range.
