Nisi

Nisi True Color Variable ND Filter 1-5 Stops (ND2-32) 58mm

SKU CH-J89T-QAD3Z

Variable ND filter providing 1 to 5 stops of exposure reduction for 58 mm lenses, featuring true-color glass with nano coating and a removable control handle

  • True-to-life colour reproduction eliminates unwanted colour casts
  • 1 to 5 stops exposure reduction suits varied shooting scenarios
  • Removable stainless steel handle enables precise density adjustments
  • Nano coating resists water, smudges and reflections
  • Slim 58 mm aluminium frame reduces vignetting risk

Thread Compatibility

This Nisi True Color Variable ND Filter fits lenses and adapters with a standard 58mm filter thread. It provides adjustable exposure reduction from 1 to 5 stops, equivalent to an ND2-32 density range. The variable design replaces multiple fixed filters for photography and video work.

Frame Clearance And Operation

Verify that the slim aluminum frame clears your lens hood or matte box without vignetting. The removable stainless steel control handle allows density changes without fingers entering the frame. External markings on the frame show density values, and a tactile hard stop at each end prevents rotation past the 1 and 5 stop limits.

Creative Exposure Control

Suited for shooters who need continuous density adjustment for video or changing light without swapping filters. The nano-coated optical glass maintains neutral colour balance and resists water, smudges and reflections. Buyers who require a wider stop range beyond 5 stops or a fixed-density filter with no moving parts should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Does the 58mm filter ship with a control handle or must I buy one separately?

The filter includes a removable stainless steel control handle in the box so no separate purchase is needed for density adjustments.

Should I choose the 1-stop or 5-stop setting for bright outdoor video?

The variable design covers the full 1 to 5 stop range (ND2-32) in one filter; rotate the frame to match the light instead of picking a fixed version.

Will the 0.3 to 1.5 density range introduce a colour cast on my footage?

The optical glass and nano coating are engineered for true-to-life colour reproduction, keeping white balance neutral across the entire density range.
