Ready-to-use network patch cable

This 14 ft Category 5e cable arrives with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends so you can link a router, switch or smart TV straight out of the bag. The blue jacket makes it easy to trace in a crowded rack or behind entertainment furniture. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion for a reliable connection over the cable lifetime. Snagless boots protect the locking tabs during repeated plug-and-unplug cycles.

Low-profile thermals and silent operation

As a passive copper cable it generates no heat and draws no power, leaving your equipment’s thermal budget untouched. There are no fans, pumps or active components to create audible noise in a quiet living-room or office. The stranded conductors stay flexible after routing around corners without kinking. RoHS-compliant materials keep hazardous substances out of the build.

Fits tight spaces and frees up ports

Molded strain relief and a slim 4.80 oz profile let the cable tuck behind wall-mounted displays or inside narrow cable-management channels. Snagless boots prevent the tabs from catching on adjacent cables when you rearrange gear. The 14 ft reach spans typical sofa-to-router distances without a coupler, preserving switch ports for other devices. Lifetime limited warranty backs the connection for the long term.

Questions about this item

How is the 14 ft Cat5e patch cable installed, and which step is often missed?

Press each RJ-45 plug firmly into the network port until the snagless boot clicks, ensuring the gold-plated contacts seat fully; the step people skip is verifying the latch engages on both ends.

What maintenance or replacement will the 14 ft Cat5e patch cable need later?

Inspect the snagless boots and gold-plated contacts periodically for wear or corrosion; replace the cable if the latch breaks or signal errors appear, though the lifetime warranty covers defects.

What limit appears first on the 14 ft Cat5e patch cable under sustained network traffic?

The stranded conductors and 14 ft length set the practical distance limit; signal degradation or crosstalk will surface before the connectors fail during continuous high-throughput use.
