First-Stage Feeding Set

This six-piece set of silicone spoons is made for babies starting solids. Each spoon measures 6.3 inches long with a 0.78 inch wide head shaped for small mouths. The soft, pliable tips contain no internal stiffener, so they flex gently against gums and emerging teeth. The smooth surface prevents food from lodging in crevices.

Build-Around Needs

The spoons are crafted from 100 percent food-grade silicone with no BPA, PVC or phthalates. They withstand boiling water and dishwasher cycles for sterilisation without warping. The flexible handles bend so caregivers and infants can find a comfortable grip angle. No additional utensils or special cleaning tools are required to use or maintain the set.

Capacity and Limits

Six spoons in muted pastel colours support multiple daily meals and allow rotation between washes. The shallow head suits thin purees and first bites but holds less volume than later-stage spoons. The material resists everyday heat exposure for warm foods, yet the tips remain too soft for scraping firmer textures or cutting food pieces.

Questions about this item

Will the .78 in spoon head hold enough food for a first-stage eater?

The .78 in wide head is sized for small mouths and typical first-stage portions, letting you offer manageable bites without overloading the spoon.

Do the spoons stay cool when used with warm purees all day?

Silicone resists heat better than metal or plastic, so the tips remain comfortable to touch even after repeated contact with warm foods.

What cleaning method is needed before the first use?

They are dishwasher safe and boil-proof, so you can sanitise them in the dishwasher or by boiling before the first feeding.
