Ergonomic aluminium stand for 11 to 17 inch laptops

The Twelve South Curve SE raises compatible laptops 15 centimetres off the desk to align the screen with eye level. It accepts devices from 11 to 17 inches wide and suits users who want a fixed-height desktop posture aid. The silver anodised aluminium frame stays stable on the tabletop while keeping most of the laptop base exposed.

Three-piece assembly with full silicone protection

The stand arrives as three aluminium sections that lock together into a permanent frame; the manufacturer advises against taking it apart once built. Full-coverage anti-slip silicone pads on the arms and base grip the laptop and prevent scratches on both surfaces. No extra tools or accessories are included in the package.

Seventy percent open base for passive cooling

The design leaves 70 percent of the laptop underside uncovered so air can circulate freely during long sessions. This single thermal characteristic determines whether the stand matches a machine that relies on bottom intake vents. Buyers needing adjustable height or portability should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the three aluminium sections need tightening or replacement after repeated assembly?

The stand ships as three integrated aluminium sections that lock together permanently; once assembled the manufacturer advises against disassembly, so no ongoing tightening or part replacement is expected.

What physical limit stops me from using a larger laptop on the Curve SE?

The arms accept laptops from 11 inches up to 17 inches; anything wider exceeds the supported size range.

Does the open 70-per-cent base design keep a 17-inch laptop cool during all-day use?

With 70 percent of the laptop base exposed, airflow circulates freely around the chassis, helping prevent overheating during extended sessions.
