  • Certified EN 62368-1, EN 55035, EN 55032, CE, UKCA, UL

12V Fan Power for 24V Systems

The NA-VC1 is a compact step-down converter that lets you run any standard 12V PC fan from a 24V DC source. It is built for 3D printer upgrades, automotive projects and industrial equipment where 24V rails are standard but 12V cooling is preferred. The unit accepts both 3-pin and 4-pin PWM fans and passes RPM and PWM signals through unchanged.

Inline Integration and Multi-Fan Support

Measuring just 31x16x8.5mm and weighing 6g, the converter sits inline between the fan cable and the power supply without requiring extra mounting space. A single unit delivers up to 9W, enough for several fans when paired with optional splitter cables or fan hubs — for example up to 18 NF-A4x10 PWM or 15 NF-A4x20 PWM fans. Output voltage scales linearly with the input, preserving voltage-based speed control.

Protected Operation Up to 60°C

Full protection covers short-circuits, reverse polarity, overcurrent and overheating with a self-resetting fuse. The converter is rated for continuous operation at ambient temperatures up to 60°C and carries CE, UKCA and UL certification plus compliance with EN 62368-1, EN 55035 and EN 55032. Silent solid-state design adds no audible noise to the cooling chain.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum combined fan power the 9 W converter can sustain?

The converter supplies up to 9 W total, enough for 18 NF-A4x10 PWM or 15 NF-A4x20 PWM fans when paired with optional splitter cables or a fan hub.

How hot does the buck converter run under continuous 24 V load?

It is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 60 °C and includes self-resetting over-temperature protection.

Which connectors or cables are needed to attach 4-pin PWM fans to the NA-VC1?

The unit sits inline between the 24 V source and standard 4-pin PWM or 3-pin fan connectors; optional NA-SYC1 splitters or NA-FH1 hubs add multiple fan ports.
