The rotor design was developed with an Austrian research institute to optimise blade geometry for low noise. This single fan suits small-form-factor PCs and tight mounting points.

The fan runs at 1800 RPM at full voltage and produces 17 dB(A) of acoustical noise. With the supplied low-noise adapter the speed drops to 1300 RPM and noise to 10 dB(A). The ultra-low-noise adapter further reduces speed to 800 RPM and noise to 7 dB(A). These three fixed operating points determine whether the airflow meets the thermal needs of the build.
