Target Devices and Applications

The NV-FS2 is a multi-purpose fan set designed to add extra cooling to electronic equipment that has ventilation holes on the top, bottom or side. Typical uses include A/V receivers, DVRs, game consoles, stereo gear, routers and storage solutions, and it can also serve as a sideways-blowing desk fan.

Installation and Common Issues

The kit includes a pre-installed NV-MPG1 gasket, NV-MPP1 silicone pads and an NA-FG1 fan grill, so the fan can be placed underneath, on top or beside a device without extra hardware. The offset gasket design maintains airflow performance in both intake and exhaust orientations while damping vibration. The NA-FC1 controller lets you adjust speed from strong ventilation to near-silent operation with a simple knob.

Power and Cable Requirements

The set ships with an NV-PS1 universal power supply that accepts 115V and 230V mains and includes plug adaptors for EU, US and UK sockets. An NV-EC4 1m extension cable is also supplied, giving a combined cable length of 2.85m for flexible positioning. Ensure your target device has suitable ventilation holes and a nearby mains outlet before ordering.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the NF-A12x25 PWM fan is running correctly after placing the set under my A/V receiver?

Use the NA-FC1 controller to set the fan to maximum speed; you should feel strong airflow through the ventilation holes and hear only a low, smooth sound, then lower the speed to verify near-silent operation.

What comes in the NV-FS2 box and is any extra cable or adaptor needed for UK mains?

The set includes the NF-A12x25 PWM fan with pre-installed NA-FG1 grill, NV-MPG1 gasket, NV-MPP1 pads, NA-FC1 controller, NV-PS1 power supply with EU, US and UK plug adaptors, and NV-EC4 1 m extension cable for 2.85 m total length.

The product lists only one black version; how do I decide whether this single set suits my router or console cooling needs?

The universal design works for intake or exhaust on any device with ventilation holes — receivers, routers, consoles or storage — and the controller lets you balance airflow against noise for each situation.
