  • Closed-cell foam structure resists moisture and condensation
  • Plenum-rated with flame spread 25 and smoke developed 50

3/4 in pipe insulation for copper tube size 1 in

This Nomaco Kflex tube is designed for 3/4 in pipe size and fits copper tube size 1 in. The closed-cell elastomeric foam provides an R-value of 4.7 and operates between -40 and 250 degrees F. It is plenum rated with a flame spread index of 25 and smoke developed index of 50. The green unfaced tube measures 6 ft in overall length.

Unslit flexible tube installs by sliding over pipe

The unslit design requires the tube to be slid over the pipe before connections are made, which can be difficult on assembled runs. Flexibility helps with bends, but the 3/4 in wall thickness adds bulk in tight spaces. Cutting the closed-cell foam cleanly requires a sharp knife to avoid tearing the material. No adhesive or facing is included, so separate tape or glue is needed to seal seams.

Verify pipe OD matches 1 1/8 in inside diameter

Confirm the pipe outer diameter matches the 1 1/8 in inside diameter of this insulation. Ensure the operating temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F covers your system conditions. Check that plenum rating and the flame spread index of 25 meet local code requirements. The 6 ft length must suit the run without excessive joints.
