SKU CH-7713-PZA67

Elastomeric 90-degree elbow insulation fits 2-inch pipe, withstands -297 °F to 220 °F, flame spread 25, UL 94 rated

  • Product typeTarps
  • Withstands -297 °F for cryogenic pipe protection
  • Handles 220 °F continuous heat without degradation
  • Closed-cell foam blocks moisture and reduces heat loss

Nomaco Kflex 2" Elbow Insulation

This elastomeric elbow fitting insulation fits a 2 inch tube outside diameter and a 1 1/2 inch pipe size. The Buna-N rubber and PVC material is flexible and unslit for straightforward installation. It carries a plenum rating and meets UL 94 requirements with a flame spread index of 25.

Suitable for plenum HVAC lines needing

Installers requiring a pre-slit product or a different bend angle will need an alternative solution. The closed-cell foam structure does not suit applications that demand open-cell breathability. Buyers who need a higher temperature limit than 220 degrees Fahrenheit should look elsewhere.

Operating range from -297 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit

This wide temperature span determines whether the insulation survives the intended service environment. The R-value of 5 supports thermal performance across that range. Confirm the extremes of your system before specifying this part.

Questions about this item

What does the R-value of 5 mean once the elbow insulation is installed on a pipe?

It indicates the thermal resistance of the closed-cell Buna-N rubber/PVC material at the specified 3/4-inch wall thickness, reducing heat loss or gain on the 90-degree fitting.

What does the UL 94 standard and flame spread index of 25 cap in practice?

UL 94 confirms the material meets vertical burn test criteria, while a flame spread index of 25 qualifies the insulation for plenum-rated installations.

What physical dimensions must the pipe have for this 90-degree elbow to fit?

The fitting is designed for a tube outside diameter of 2 inches and a nominal pipe size of 1 1/2 inches, with a 3/4-inch wall thickness on the elbow form.
