Elastomeric tee pipe fitting

The Nomaco Kflex 801-T-068138 is an elastomeric tee fitting designed for pipe insulation on ducts, tanks and piping. It suits installers who need a black NBR/PVC based component that fits a 1-3/8 inch tube size and a 1 inch pipe size.

Fits 1-3/8 inch tube and 1 inch pipe

The tee has a nominal inside diameter of 1-3/8 inches and a wall thickness of 3/4 inch, with a length of 53/64 inch and a width of 2-7/8 inches. It slots into existing insulated runs without requiring additional adhesives or specialised tools beyond standard pipe-cutting equipment.

R-value 5.2 across a wide temperature range

The material delivers an approximate R-value of 5.2 and withstands temperatures from -297 degrees F to 220 degrees F, providing thermal protection for cryogenic and high-temperature lines alike. It is not intended for applications that demand a different insulation thickness or a non-elastomeric material.

Questions about this item

How much temperature can the NBR/PVC elastomeric tee withstand before it degrades?

The insulation handles a continuous range from -297 °F up to 220 °F without breaking down.

Does the black NBR/PVC tee radiate noticeable heat or make noise when the system runs all day?

The elastomeric material stays quiet and the surface temperature follows the pipe, so it adds no audible noise or extra heat.

What pipe size must already be in place for this 1-3/8 in nominal ID tee to fit?

It is made for 1 in pipe insulation size, which corresponds to 1 1/4 in tube ID.
