Product identity and intended use

Nomaco Kflex 801-T-100158 is an elastomeric tee fitting insulation designed for pipe-work on ducts, tanks and piping systems. It suits installers who need a pre-formed tee piece with a 1 in wall thickness and a temperature range from -297 Degrees F to 220 Degrees F.

Installation notes and common issues

The fitting slides over a 1 5/8 in tube or a 1 1/4 in pipe size and is sized to a 7/8 in length and 3 5/8 in width. Ensure the NBR/PVC material is clean and dry before application; gaps at the tee junction can reduce the effective R value of 7.1.

Practical limits of the elastomeric standard

The black NBR/PVC construction remains flexible across the stated temperature span but is not rated beyond 220 Degrees F. It provides a nominal R value of 7.1 for the 1 in wall; thicker insulation would be required for higher thermal resistance.

What comes with the fitting and what must be purchased separately?

The package contains the black NBR/PVC elastomeric tee insulation sized for 1 5/8 in tube I.D.; adhesive, tape or mechanical fasteners are not included and must be sourced separately.

Which version of this tee insulation should I select for my piping?

Choose the 801-T-100158 model when your pipe has a 1 5/8 in tube I.D. and 1 1/4 in pipe insulation size, providing an approximate R-value of 7.1.
