Product identity

The Nomaco Kflex 801-T-100448 is an elastomeric tee fitting designed to insulate pipe junctions in commercial and industrial mechanical systems. It suits contractors and maintenance teams who need a flexible, closed-cell foam component for thermal protection on 4-inch piping.

Installation notes

The unslit form requires the installer to cut and wrap the fitting around existing pipework, then seal the seam with compatible adhesive tape or mastic. Common issues include gaps at the joint if the cut is not tight and reduced thermal performance when the seal is incomplete.

Interface limits

The Buna-N rubber and PVC blend operates continuously from -297 to 220 degrees F and carries a flame spread index of 25 with a UL 94 rating. The material provides an R-value of 5.9 and is plenum rated, but it is not intended for service beyond the stated temperature range or for structural load-bearing applications.
