What This Bamboo Tong Does

The Norpro 7646 is a 12-inch cooking utensil made from bamboo. It serves home cooks who need a lightweight tool for turning, lifting and serving food. The material is moisture resistant and naturally renewable. One unit is supplied per package.

Build Quality and Everyday Handling

Bamboo construction makes the tong durable and sturdy while staying lightweight in the hand. The rectangular tips grip securely without crushing delicate items. Heat and stain resistance protect the utensil during daily use. It is safe for nonstick, glass, enamel and stainless steel surfaces.

Practical Limits of the Material

Bamboo cannot withstand the sustained high heat of open flames or broiler elements. The 12-inch length keeps hands clear of splatter but may feel short for deep stockpots or wide grills. Dishwasher cleaning is possible though hand washing extends the lifespan of the natural fibres.
