What this cable does

This 3.5 mm stereo extension cable adds length between a 3.5 mm source and a 3.5 mm input. It carries a standard analogue stereo signal for headphones, speakers or portable players. The male plug connects to the source and the female jack accepts the existing cable. It is built for everyday audio use with no active electronics.

Build details that matter

A thick flexible PVC jacket protects the internal conductors from kinks and abrasion during routing. Rugged moulded plastic ends reinforce the plug and jack junctions against strain from repeated insertion. The cable ships as a single passive component with no adapters, software or power supply included.

Check before you buy

Verify that both your source device and your receiving device use 3.5 mm stereo connections rather than mono, TRRS or proprietary jacks. Confirm the extra length suits the intended run without creating excess slack. This cable does not convert signal types or provide amplification for long-distance runs.

Questions about this item

Will the PVC jacket or the moulded 3.5 mm connectors need replacing after a few years of daily use?

The thick, flexible PVC jacket and rugged moulded ends are built for long service; no scheduled replacement is mentioned for either component.

What is the first limitation when the cable runs audio continuously for hours?

The only inherent limit is the 3.5 mm stereo interface itself; the cable adds no active circuitry that would clip or overheat.

Does the extension add any audible noise, heat or extra power draw when left connected all day?

As a passive copper link it draws no power, generates no heat and introduces no active noise beyond the existing signal path.
