Vinyl disc cleaning fluid

North American Herb & Spice UltraPure Vinyl Disc Cleaning Fluid comes in a 1/2 ounce bottle. It is manufactured in small batches at the brand's on-site factory lab. The formula loosens oils and other contaminants from the record surface and from between grooves. This product is intended for vinyl record maintenance.

For vinyl collectors and archivists

This fluid suits owners who want a dedicated solution for deep groove cleaning and oil removal. It is not for buyers who need a larger volume for frequent or bulk cleaning sessions. It is not for users who prefer a spray applicator or a complete cleaning kit with brushes. It is not for cleaning shellac or other non-vinyl media.

Integrates with manual cleaning routines

The compact bottle fits easily on a storage shelf or in a cleaning caddy. It requires a separate applicator such as a brush, pad or cloth to distribute the fluid across the disc. It frees the user from relying on generic household cleaners that may leave residue. It prepares the vinyl surface for playback or archival storage.

Questions about this item

Do I need a separate applicator brush or cloth to use this 1/2 oz vinyl cleaning fluid?

Yes, the fluid loosens oils and contaminants from the surface and in-between record grooves, so you must supply your own brush, pad or lint-free cloth to apply and wipe it off.

Will this fluid damage the label or adhesive on vintage pressings I want to keep?

The formula is made for vinyl groove cleaning; avoid saturating the centre label and use sparingly on older pressings to prevent adhesive loosening.

How can I tell the fluid has fully evaporated before I play the record?

Hold the disc under a light — the surface should look uniformly dry with no visible streaks or residue in the grooves before you place it on the turntable.
