Queen metal platform bed

The Novilla N-F10013-Q-BK-NEW2 is a queen-size platform bed built from metal with a matte frosted finish. It measures 79.92 in by 59.84 in by 14.0 in and stands 12 inches from the floor to the bed base. The frame includes steel slats and requires no box spring, suiting sleepers who want a ready-to-use foundation.

Sustained load capacity

The frame is rated for up to 1200 pounds of distributed weight, so it maintains structural integrity night after night under typical adult use. EVA foam strips at the slat contact points suppress squeaks that often develop with metal frames over time. The fixed steel slats prevent the flex that can appear with adjustable or spaced supports.

Under-bed clearance limit

The 12-inch gap between floor and bed base sets the maximum height for storage containers, bins or drawers you can slide underneath. Items taller than this clearance will not fit, so measure your organisers before purchase. The open perimeter allows access from any side, but the fixed height cannot be adjusted.

Questions about this item

Does the 14 inch metal frame with EVA foam strips stay quiet after months of daily use?

The frame uses EVA foam strips between metal contact points to prevent squeaks and creaks, delivering a noise-free sleeping experience over time.

Do I need to buy a box spring or any extra support for the queen size platform bed?

No box spring is needed; the heavy-duty steel slat support included in the package provides full mattress support on its own.

Will my existing queen mattress fit the 79.92 in by 59.84 in frame dimensions?

Yes, the frame is built to standard queen dimensions of 79.92 inches long by 59.84 inches wide, so a standard queen mattress fits exactly.
