Nikon F to Canon RF mount adapter

The Novoflex adapter lets photographers attach Nikon F-mount lenses to Canon EOS R-series mirrorless bodies. It is built for users who already own Nikon glass and want to keep using it on a Canon RF system without buying new lenses.

G-type aperture ring and E-type exclusion

A built-in aperture control ring allows stepless stop-down of G-type Nikkor lenses that lack a mechanical aperture ring. E-type Nikkor lenses cannot be used with this adapter because their electromagnetic aperture mechanism is not supported.

Mechanical connection

The adapter is a purely mechanical spacer; it transmits no EXIF data, autofocus signals or aperture metadata between lens and camera. Focus and exposure must be set manually on the lens and body.

Questions about this item

Will the aperture ring on my G-type Nikkor lens stop down smoothly with this adapter?

Yes, G-type Nikkor lenses stop down steplessly, though no specific aperture value can be selected or displayed on the camera body.

What is the first limitation I will hit when shooting continuously with adapted lenses?

You lose electronic communication, so autofocus, EXIF data transfer and in-camera aperture control are unavailable; focus and exposure must be set manually.

Does the adapter add heat or noise during all-day use?

No, it is a purely mechanical mount with no electronics, motors or power draw, so it generates zero heat and makes no noise whatsoever.
