240W PSU for 5800 7900 chassis

This 240-watt power supply is built for the 5800 and 7900 server chassis families. It replaces the original units listed under part numbers PC7038, PC6019, PC6014, PS-6241-5, PS-6241-7, DPS-240MB-1 B, DPS-240MB-3 A and DPS-240FB-1A. Administrators maintaining those desktop-style servers can use it as a direct swap.

Verify chassis model before ordering

Confirm the unit you are servicing is a 5800 or 7900 chassis and that the existing supply carries one of the part numbers above. The supply is designed for desktop-form-factor server cases; it will not fit rackmount or tower enclosures outside those model lines. Buyers who need redundant or hot-swap power modules should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 240W power supply ship with mounting screws and cables, or do I need to source them separately?

The unit is sold as a bare power supply; mounting hardware and cables are not included and must be obtained separately.

My chassis is a 7900 model — will the DPS-240MB-3 A revision fit, or do I need the PS-6241-7 variant?

Both the DPS-240MB-3 A and PS-6241-7 are listed as compatible with the 7900 chassis, so either revision will work.
