Questions about this item

Does this fan require the laptop's existing 4-pin CPU-fan header to operate?

Yes, the fan connects via a 4-pin power connector that plugs directly into the Legion 5-15ACH6, 5-15ACH6H or 5-15ACH6A motherboard header.

Will the 5H40S20310 fit the same mounting points as the original 5H40S20311 and 5H40S20312 fans?

The part is listed as compatible with all three MPNs, so it uses the identical screw pattern and thermal-contact layout for those Legion 5 models.

After installation, how can I verify the 5 V fan is spinning at the correct speed?

Enter the BIOS hardware-monitor screen or run Lenovo Vantage; both report real-time RPM for the CPU/GPU fan on these Legion 5 chassis.
