Suits builders using the PWS-702A-1R 700W unit

This chassis suits anyone installing an Ultra Micro PWS-702A-1R 700W power supply into a desktop server frame. It is not for buyers who need a rackmount enclosure, a different power-supply form factor, or support for redundant power modules. Those requirements call for a different chassis design.

Questions about this item

Will the PWS-702A-1R 700W power supply need periodic fan cleaning or replacement in this chassis?

The chassis holds the PWS-702A-1R 700W unit; its internal fan should be cleaned with compressed air whenever dust builds up, and the whole supply can be swapped if the fan fails.

What thermal limit appears first when the 700W supply runs at full load continuously?

The supply's own over-temperature protection will trip before the chassis airflow becomes a bottleneck, shutting the unit down until it cools.
