What this unit is

The NShi WDR-480-24 is a 480 W AC-DC switching power supply that delivers 24 V at 20 A. It mounts on a DIN rail inside a desktop chassis and is aimed at integrators building industrial or server systems that need a compact, high-efficiency power source.

Thermals noise and power draw

The supply accepts a wide input range up to 550 VDC and reaches up to 94 % efficiency, so waste heat stays low during normal operation. Its thin profile leaves more airflow space on the rail, helping the unit run quietly without extra cooling measures.

What the bundle changes

Only the single WDR-480-24 module is included; no cables, mounting brackets or configuration software are supplied. Buyers who need pre-wired harnesses, redundant modules or remote monitoring must source those separately.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the WDR-480-24 on a DIN rail and what step is often missed?

Snap the unit onto a standard DIN rail until the latch clicks; the step often missed is verifying the rail is grounded before applying power.

What maintenance or replacement will the WDR-480-24 need over time?

The internal electrolytic capacitors age with heat; plan to replace the supply after several years of continuous 24 V 20 A operation.

At what sustained load does the WDR-480-24 hit its thermal limit first?

Continuous 480 W output at 24 V 20 A pushes the 94 % efficiency limit, so the thermal protection trips before the electrical limit.
