What this drum unit replaces

The NuoTo DR223CL is a new black drum unit built as a compatible replacement for the Brother DR-223CL original. It fits the listed MFC, HL and DCP colour laser printers and contains the imaging drum only; toner cartridges are not included and must be purchased separately.

Deciding specification — page yield

Rated at 18000 pages at five percent coverage, this drum unit offers 40 percent more yield than alternative aftermarket drums. The higher page count means fewer drum changes over the life of the printer, which is the single figure that determines whether the part matches your volume needs.

Who should buy and who should not

Offices and home users printing regularly on the compatible Brother models will benefit from the extended drum life. Buyers who need toner supplied in the same box should look elsewhere, as this pack contains the drum unit only.
