Industrial IoT expansion module for Compute Module 4 adds 4G, 5G, LoRa wireless via M.2 or Mini-PCIe plus RS485, CAN, HDMI, USB, Ethernet and rail-mount ABS case
This module adds wireless connectivity and industrial interfaces to a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. It targets engineers building IoT gateways, 4G or 5G routers, data-acquisition nodes, or PLC-style automation equipment. The board accepts any CM4 Lite or eMMC variant through the standard socket.
A DIN-rail compatible ABS enclosure protects the assembly and simplifies cabinet installation. Onboard connectors include Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, USB, CSI, M.2 B-key, Mini-PCIe via adapter, RS485, CAN, and a partial GPIO header. The 485 and CAN ports enable direct wiring to industrial sensors and actuators without extra converters.
The package supplies a PCIe-to-4G/LoRa adapter, a screwdriver, and a screw pack. The adapter lets you plug M.2 or Mini-PCIe 4G, 5G, or LoRa modules straight onto the baseboard. No additional mounting hardware or tools are required to complete the build.

The board includes an onboard M.2 B-Key slot and a Mini-PCIe adapter, letting you install 4G, 5G or LoRa wireless modules that use either form factor.
The ABS enclosure is designed for standard DIN-rail mounting; the kit supplies the case, a screwdriver and a screw pack so you can secure the base board inside and clip the assembly onto the rail.
Align the CM4 with the standard CM4 socket and the partial GPIO header, press it firmly until the connectors seat fully, then fasten the supplied screws; the step most often missed is securing the module with those screws before closing the case.
