Compact 96% Layout

The NuPhy Air96 V2 is a 100-key wireless mechanical keyboard built on an aluminium alloy frame with a 13.5 mm thin profile. It ships with two-tone PBT keycaps and Gateron Orange linear switches in a grey colourway. Three connection modes — Bluetooth 5.1, 2.4 GHz wireless and wired USB-C — cover desktop, laptop and mobile workflows.

Suited For And Not Suited For

The ANSI 96% layout and hot-swappable sockets suit enthusiasts who want a compact full-function board they can re-switch without soldering. QMK and VIA support appeals to users who remap keys or build custom macros across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Buyers who need an ISO enter key or a different physical layout will find those options absent.

Deciding Specification

The 4000 mAh battery delivers 35 to 120 hours of RGB-lit use or up to 220 hours with the backlight off, so the choice hinges on whether that wireless endurance matches the intended daily workload.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 96% ANSI layout with 100 keys or a smaller form factor?

The Air96 V2 uses a 96% ANSI layout with 100 keys, keeping a numeric block and navigation cluster while staying compact at 373.4 mm x 132.5 mm x 13.5 mm.

What does the 1000 Hz polling rate mean for wireless gaming?

In 2.4 GHz mode the keyboard reports at 1000 Hz, matching wired latency; Bluetooth 5.1 runs at 125 Hz, so use the 2.4 GHz dongle for competitive play.

How does the 2.4 GHz connection cap real-world latency compared with Bluetooth 5.1?

2.4 GHz delivers a 1000 Hz polling rate for near-wired response, while Bluetooth 5.1 is limited to 125 Hz, so the dongle is the lower-latency choice.
