A dual-port QSFP56 network adapter delivering 100 Gb/s over PCIe 4.0 x16 with inline IPsec and TLS crypto acceleration
The NVIDIA ConnectX-6 Dx EN adapter card delivers up to 100 Gb/s bandwidth across two QSFP56 ports. It installs in a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and supports 100GBase-X, 50GBase-X, 25GBase-X, 10GBase-X and 1000Base-X optical links. The card includes in-line IPsec and TLS crypto acceleration for secure data transport.
The adapter achieves sub 0.8 usec latency and a message rate of up to 215 Mpps while handling normal traffic loads. A flexible programmable pipeline manages new network flows and overlay tunnelling without adding measurable processing delay. Multi-Host support with advanced QoS keeps throughput steady across virtualised workloads.
IPsec and TLS in-line crypto acceleration is the single specification that determines whether this card matches the deployment. Buyers who do not require hardware-accelerated encryption at line rate should evaluate a non-crypto variant. Builders needing more than two ports or a different form factor cannot use this adapter.

Insert the card into a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, secure the bracket, then attach compatible QSFP56 transceivers and fibre cables to both ports; the step often missed is verifying the motherboard BIOS allocates x16 lanes to that slot rather than defaulting to x8.
The adapter itself has no user-serviceable parts; plan to replace QSFP56 transceivers or fibre patch cables if link errors appear, and keep the driver and firmware current through the OS update channel.
Each port supports up to 100 Gb/s, so the first limit under sustained load is the 100 Gb/s per-port line rate; the PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface provides enough bandwidth for both ports simultaneously.
