Compact AIO for mainstream sockets

The NZXT Kraken 120 RL-KR120-B1 is a 120 mm all-in-one liquid cooler with a copper cold plate, aluminium radiator and a single Aer P 120 mm fan. It fits Intel LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1700 and 1851 plus AMD AM2 through AM5 and FM1 through FM2+. The pump block features an infinity-mirror RGB ring controllable through NZXT CAM.

Suits small-form-factor builds.

Builders assembling compact systems who want liquid cooling with addressable RGB will find the 152 x 120 x 32 mm radiator and 400 mm tubing easy to route. The fan runs at 500-2000 RPM delivering 18.28-73.11 CFM at 21-36 dBA. Users targeting sustained loads above what a single 120 mm radiator can dissipate should look at larger coolers.

120 mm radiator width decides case fit

The radiator measures 152 mm long by 120 mm wide by 32 mm thick, so the 120 mm dimension determines whether it clears your case fan mounts, motherboard heatsinks or RAM slots. Verify that your chassis supports a 120 mm radiator before purchase.

Questions about this item

How loud does the AER P 120 mm fan get when the Kraken 120 runs continuously at full speed?

The fan noise ranges from 21 dBA at minimum speed to 36 dBA at the maximum 2,000 RPM setting, so sustained full-load operation stays at the upper end of that range.

Which motherboard socket and power headers must I already have to install the RL-KR120-B1?

You need a compatible Intel LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1700 or 1851 socket, or an AMD AM2 through AM5 socket, plus a 4-pin PWM fan header and a 5 V 3-pin ARGB header for the RGB lighting.

Will the 400 mm tubing reach the CPU socket on a standard ATX board if I keep my existing top-mounted 120 mm radiator position?

The 400 mm tubes are designed for typical 120 mm radiator placements; measure from your chosen mount point to the CPU socket to confirm the length is sufficient for your case layout.
