360 mm liquid cooler for high-output CPUs

The NZXT Kraken X73 RGB 360mm RL-KRX73-R1 is an all-in-one liquid cooler built around a 394 mm aluminium radiator with three 120 mm Aer RGB V2 fans. It targets enthusiasts and workstation users who need sustained thermal headroom for overclocked Intel Core i9, i7, i5 or AMD Ryzen processors across LGA 1700, 1200, 115x, 2011, 2066 and AM4 platforms.

Sustained load behaviour with fluid-dynamic fans

Under continuous load the fluid dynamic bearing fans operate between 500 and 1,500 RPM, moving 17.48 to 52.44 CFM while staying within a 22 to 33 dBA acoustic range. The 27 mm thick radiator and 400 mm reinforced tubing provide a large surface area for heat dissipation, allowing the pump to maintain stable coolant temperatures during long rendering or compile sessions without thermal throttling.

Rotating infinity mirror cap and CAM integration

The copper cold plate sits beneath a 55 mm high plastic housing topped with an 80 mm diameter infinity mirror ring that rotates in 30° increments so the logo stays upright in any orientation. Fine nylon mesh sleeves protect the rubber tubes during installation, while a 5 V RGB header supports up to four LED strips. CAM software gives per-fan curve control and lighting synchronisation without additional controllers.

Questions about this item

How loud are the three AER RGB V2 fans when the 360 mm radiator runs continuously?

The 120 mm fluid-dynamic-bearing fans operate between 22 and 33 dBA across their 500 to 1,500 RPM range, so noise stays low even under sustained load.

Which CPU socket bracket must I already have to mount the pump block on an Intel LGA 1700 platform?

The cooler includes brackets for LGA 1200, 1151, 1150, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011, 2011-3 and 2066; the LGA 1700 bracket is not in the box and must be obtained separately from the manufacturer.

Will the 400 mm tubing reach the radiator if I keep my existing full-tower case with a top-mounted 360 mm radiator location?

The 400 mm tube length is designed for standard 360 mm radiator placements; measure your specific case routing to confirm the run from the CPU socket to the top mounting points does not exceed that distance.
