Kraken Elite 240 liquid cooler

The NZXT RL-KN24E-B2 is a 240 mm all-in-one liquid cooler built around the proprietary Turbine pump and a 2.72-inch IPS LCD. It targets enthusiasts who want strong CPU cooling combined with a customisable display for system stats or personal graphics. Compatible brackets cover Intel LGA 1851, 1700, 1200 and 115X sockets as well as AMD AM5 and AM4 platforms.

Upgrade from 2023 Elite 240

Internal testing shows the 2024 revision delivers a 10% improvement in CPU cooling over the 2023 Kraken Elite 240 RGB using the Intel Open Bench method. The jump is worth it for builders who need lower thermal resistance from the same 240 mm radiator footprint and want the updated pump design. Users staying on older sockets gain the same mounting hardware without extra purchases.

2.72-inch IPS LCD and dual 120 mm fans

The 640 x 640 screen runs at 60 Hz and supports GIFs, images, web integrations and live system data for at-a-glance monitoring. Two 120 mm fans operate between 500 and 2000 RPM, moving 73.47 CFM at a maximum of 30.0 dBA through 4-pin PWM control. The 282 mm radiator and reinforced tubing handle mainstream workloads; sustained heavy overclocks on high-core-count CPUs may exceed the 240 mm capacity.

Questions about this item

What socket brackets come in the box for Intel and AMD CPUs?

The cooler includes mounting brackets for Intel LGA 1851, 1700, 1200 and 115X sockets as well as AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets.

How do you connect the 2.72-inch IPS LCD and the RGB Core fan unit to the motherboard?

Connect the pump USB header for the 640 x 640 60 Hz screen and the 4-pin PWM connector for the 500-2000 RPM fan; the single-frame RGB Core unit combines lighting and airflow in one cable.
