The OATEY 38965 is a brass washing machine valve with a red alloy handle that operates by quarter turn. It connects 3/4 inch CPVC pipe on both inlet and outlet sides. The transparent body lets the installer confirm flow visually. It is intended for residential or light-commercial laundry hook-ups where a positive shut-off is required.

Fits 3/4 inch CPVC lines

The valve threads directly onto 3/4 inch CPVC supply stubs without adapters. Its quarter-turn action isolates the washer from the house supply so service or replacement can proceed without draining the whole system. The brass body resists corrosion from chlorinated water. No hammer arrestor is included, so a separate device may be needed where codes require water-hammer protection.
