Questions about this item

How does the 10-second standby delay work with the sound sensor?

After 10 seconds of inactivity the display turns off; any sound louder than 60 dB — such as a clap or a tap on the case — wakes it again.

What does the USB power cable actually supply to the clock and the two rear ports?

The included cable powers the clock itself and feeds two 5 V 1 A USB outputs on the back for charging phones simultaneously.

Will the 8.0 by 8.0 by 15.0 inch black MDF case sit flat on a standard desk or shelf?

Yes, the rectangular MDF housing measures 8.0 in wide, 8.0 in deep and 15.0 in high, so it stands upright on any flat surface.
