Compact cordless sharpener for everyday use

The OfficeGoods Mini-Pro is a battery-operated pencil sharpener designed for standard-size pencils and thinner diameters. It sharpens quickly and quietly with a metal helical blade, making it suitable for school, office, or art tasks. The cordless design allows placement anywhere without a power outlet. Pencils wider than 8 mm are not supported by this model.

Battery power and capacity limits

The unit runs on two AA batteries sold separately, providing portable operation for light to moderate daily sharpening. It handles standard and slim pencils comfortably but stops at the 8 mm threshold, so larger drawing or carpentry pencils require a different tool. Heavy continuous use will drain batteries faster than occasional classroom or desk use.

Metal blade and quiet motor changes

The all-metal motor and helical blade assembly adds durability and a consistent cutting action compared with plastic mechanisms. Quieter operation reduces distraction in shared spaces such as libraries or open-plan offices. No additional accessories or software are included; the sharpener ships as a standalone unit ready for user-supplied batteries.

Questions about this item

Will the OfficeGoods Mini-Pro sharpener handle the standard HB pencils I already have?

Yes, it fits standard-sized pencils and can sharpen thinner ones; pencils over 8 mm need a different sharpener.

How can I confirm the helical blade is cutting correctly after I insert the AA batteries?

Insert a pencil and listen for the quiet motor; a clean, tapered point with no splintering shows the blade is working.

Does the package include the two AA batteries the cordless sharpener needs?

No, batteries are sold separately; the box contains only the sharpener unit.
