Oki Data C712 Black Image Drum

The Oki Data 46507404 image drum is a new black imaging unit built for the C712 and C712dn colour printers. It serves offices that need consistent monochrome output on LED-based hardware. Buyers needing colour drums or toner cartridges should select the matching consumables for their model.

LED print-engine page-limit constraint

The drum is rated for approximately 30000 pages under standard test conditions. Actual life varies with page coverage, job size and environmental factors. Once the rated yield is reached, print quality will decline and the unit must be replaced.

30000-page monochrome capacity headroom

At the rated yield the drum comfortably handles regular office volumes and medium-length print runs. Very high-coverage documents or continuous heavy throughput will reduce the practical page count before replacement is required.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the black drum or a colour drum for my C712dn?

This unit is the black image drum with a 30000 page yield; colour drums are separate items with their own part numbers.

What does the 30000 page figure mean once the drum is installed in my C712dn?

It is the approximate number of pages the drum can produce before print quality declines and replacement is needed.

Which printer interface or standard does this drum work with, and what does that limit in practice?

The drum is made for OKI LED printers in the C712 and C712dn series; it will not function in other models or brands.
