Olympus MC-20 2x Teleconverter Bundle

The Olympus MC-20 M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter doubles the focal length of compatible PRO lenses for Micro Four Thirds photographers. This new bundle adds a 128 GB memory card, card reader, flexible tripod and full cleaning kit. It suits wildlife, sports and macro shooters who need maximum reach without extra bulk.

Sustained optical performance

Nine elements in four groups with an HR lens and ZERO coating minimise chromatic aberration, ghosting and flare during long sessions. Full electronic communication preserves fast autofocus, exposure metering and 5-Axis Image Stabilization. Dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof construction maintains reliability in unpredictable conditions.

Upgrade path and value

The converter replaces the need for a separate super-telephoto lens by turning a 300mm f/4 into a 600mm equivalent with .96x tele-macro capability. It also extends a 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO into longer reach. The jump is worth it when you need focal lengths beyond 150mm without carrying larger glass.

Questions about this item

Does the MC-20 teleconverter add noticeable heat or power draw during all-day shooting?

The MC-20 is a passive optical device with no electronics that generate heat or consume power, so it adds no thermal load or battery drain during extended use.

Which specific Olympus lenses must I already own for this teleconverter to function?

The MC-20 works only with compatible M.Zuiko PRO lenses such as the 300mm f/4 IS PRO and 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO; other lenses will not communicate or autofocus correctly.

How does the MC-20 perform when paired with my older 300mm f/4 PRO lens?

It doubles the 300mm f/4 PRO to a 600mm equivalent focal length while retaining full autofocus, 5-Axis Image Stabilization, and up to 0.96x tele-macro magnification.
