Compact telephoto zoom with 80-300mm equivalent reach, edge-to-edge sharpness, fast silent autofocus and IP53 weather sealing, bundled with filters, pouch, hood and cleaning kit
The Olympus OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4 PRO lens delivers an 80-300mm equivalent focal range in a weather-sealed IP53 body. It suits travel, wildlife and sports shooters who need reach without bulk. The bundle adds a filter kit, pouch, hood, caps and cleaning cloth for immediate use.
This constant f/4 design replaces slower kit zooms that dim at the long end, keeping exposure consistent across the 40-150mm range. The jump is worth it when you shoot fast-moving subjects in changing light and need edge-to-edge sharpness from ED, Super ED, aspherical and HR elements. Buyers who require wider apertures for low-light isolation should consider other options.
The lens mounts natively to any Micro Four Thirds body with no adapter required; the MSC autofocus motor drives fast, quiet focusing down to 27.6 inches. Ensure the camera firmware is current for optimal AF mapping. The fluorine-coated front element resists smudges, but the IP53 rating covers dust and splashes only — avoid submersion or high-pressure jets.

The lens accepts standard 53mm filters, so the included filter kit and any other 53mm circular filters will mount directly on the front element.
Align the red mounting index on the lens barrel with the matching mark on the camera mount, rotate until it clicks, then remove the rear cap; forgetting to remove the rear cap before mounting is the most common error.
Wipe the front glass with the supplied microfibre cloth and lens-safe fluid to preserve the fluorine coating, and after exposure to salt spray or dust rinse the barrel with fresh water before drying to keep the IP53 seals effective.
