SKU CH-HYXG-DNQP5

A 4-channel DMX512 decoder drives 12-24V LED strips at up to 44A with constant-current output for flicker-free dimming

  • Product typeIEC Pin & Sleeve Plugs, Connectors & Interlocks
  • 4 multifunctional channels drive RGB, RGBW and CCT LED strips
  • DMX512 console link controls many units with high anti-interference
  • Constant current output gives smooth dimming without flicker or hum
  • Display and three buttons make setup simple for stage or home use
  • Rugged iron casting dissipates heat for long-lasting operation

4-Channel DMX512 Decoder

The OmaiLighting decoder converts a DMX512 signal into four constant-current output channels for 12-24V LED fixtures. Each channel delivers up to 4A, making it suitable for RGB, RGBW or CCT lighting installations. An onboard display and three buttons allow direct configuration without a computer. The rugged iron housing provides corrosion resistance and heat dissipation for stage, architectural or residential use.

DMX512/1990 Control Limits

The unit complies with the DMX512/1990 standard and accepts a single universe of 512 addresses across its four output channels. Signal integrity is maintained through high anti-interference circuitry when multiple decoders are daisy-chained to one console. Total load must not exceed 44A across all channels combined. Operation is restricted to 12-24V DC constant-current LED loads; it does not support mains-voltage or constant-voltage fixtures.

Upgrading from Manual or IR Control

This decoder replaces individual remote controllers or basic dimmers that cannot be synchronised across large installations. The jump is worth it when a project requires centralised console programming, flicker-free dimming or more than 100,000 pre-programmed lighting modes. It is not suited for buyers who need more than four output channels per unit or who require wireless DMX transmission.

Questions about this item

How do I decide which DMX512 decoder version fits my 12 V or 24 V LED installation?

This unit handles both 12 V and 24 V supplies and provides four constant-current channels at 4 A each, so one decoder covers RGB, RGBW or CCT strips without needing a separate model per voltage.

What does the 44 A total current rating mean when the decoder is driving my lights?

The 44 A figure is the combined maximum across all four channels; each channel delivers up to 4 A continuously, giving smooth dimming without flicker on 12-24 V LED loads.

How does the DMX512 interface limit the number of decoders I can chain on one line?

The decoder follows the DMX512/1990 standard; each unit uses four addresses, so a single universe of 512 addresses sets the practical limit for devices on one data line.
