Floor-standing infrared heater

The Optimus PHP-1500DIR is a 1500 W freestanding infrared heater built for garages, workshops and covered outdoor areas. Three halogen tubes deliver sun-like warmth without moving air, so heat stays where you need it even in breezy conditions. The steel housing and IP34 splash rating let the unit survive rain, dust and daily knocks. Adjustable height and a 1.8 m cord give flexible placement.

Silent radiant heat and IP34 protection

No fan means completely silent operation, making the heater suitable for quiet workspaces or relaxation areas. Radiant output is not blown away by wind, keeping comfort steady when doors are open. The IP34 rating guards the internals against splashing water and solid objects larger than 1 mm. Steel construction resists corrosion for long outdoor life.

Remote control and three power levels

The bundled remote lets you switch between 500 W, 1000 W and 1500 W without leaving your seat. Three halogen tubes provide instant heat at each setting, so you only draw the power you need. A 70.8 inch power cord reaches distant sockets without extension leads. Adjustable pole height lets you direct warmth at seated or standing level.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the 1.8 meter power cord and adjustable height on the PHP-1500DIR?

Unbox the heater, extend the telescopic pole to the desired height and lock it in place, then route the 1.8 meter cord away from walkways before plugging it into a grounded outlet; the step often missed is securing the cord so it cannot be pulled or tripped over.

When will the three halogen tubes need replacement on the PHP-1500DIR?

The three halogen tubes are rated for thousands of hours; replace a tube when it no longer glows or heat output drops noticeably at the 500, 1000 or 1500 W settings.

What limits continuous running of the PHP-1500DIR at 1500 W?

The IP34 splash-water rating protects against rain and splashes, but sustained 1500 W use in enclosed spaces can trip a standard 15 A circuit breaker before the heater itself overheats.
