This genuine OEM DMD chip carries part numbers 1280-6038B and 1280-6039B for compatible Sharp, ViewSonic, Acer and Optoma projectors. It is supplied new and intended for technicians or owners performing a component-level repair on a DLP light engine.

Compatibility limited to listed part numbers

The chip functions only in projectors designed for the 1280-6038B or 1280-6039B component; other models will not accept it. No firmware or software update can extend support to different DMD formats or resolutions.

Tested for zero dead pixels

Each unit is tested at least three times to confirm a clear image with no dead pixels before dispatch. Photos are illustrative only; the actual part may show cosmetic marks or scratches in non-critical areas that do not affect projection quality.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1280-6038B or the 1280-6039B version for my projector?

Both part numbers are listed as compatible for Sharp, Viewsonic, Acer and Optoma models. Match the exact number printed on your original DMD chip to ensure the correct fit.

What does the tested clear-image claim mean once the chip is installed?

Each chip is tested at least three times to confirm it projects a clear image with no dead pixels before it ships.

Which interface standard does this DMD chip use and what does it limit?

The chip connects via the projector's native DMD interface; the supported resolution and refresh rate are defined by the projector's own optical engine, not by the chip alone.
