4K HDMI Extender over Cat6

The OREI UHD-EX165H-K transmits uncompressed 4K video at 60 Hz with 18 Gbps bandwidth up to 165 feet using a single CAT6 or CAT7 cable. It supports HDR, HDCP 2.2 and 12-bit 4:4:4 colour for home-theatre, gaming, CCTV or digital-signage installations. A local HDMI loop-out lets you keep a display at the source while extending to a remote screen.

Check source and display compatibility

Verify that your video source and remote display both accept 4K at 60 Hz with HDCP 2.2 and that you have a solid CAT6 or CAT7 run no longer than 50 metres. The extender requires an HDMI input on the transmitter side and provides an HDMI output on the receiver side; one-way IR pass-through needs a clear path for the emitter. No external power supply is needed at the receiver thanks to Power-over-Cable.

Thermals noise and power

The compact transmitter and receiver units (6.7 x 11.3 x 16.3 cm) run silently with no fans and draw power only from the source end over the Ethernet link. In normal operation they stay cool to the touch and add no audible noise to an AV rack or wall-mounted TV setup.
