Four-Bay SATA Enclosure for Desktop Expansion

The Orico enclosure holds up to four 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs and connects to a PC or laptop through a single USB 3.0 cable. Each bay accepts drives up to 16 TB, giving a total raw capacity of 64 TB. The aluminium chassis includes a built-in fan and an auto-sleep timer that spins drives down after ten minutes of inactivity.

Tool-Free Drive Installation with Cooling

Drives slide into the open bays without screws or trays, so swapping disks takes seconds. The USB 3.0 link provides up to 5 Gbps bandwidth, but the enclosure does not support RAID or NAS functions, so each drive appears separately to the operating system. The fan runs continuously when the unit is powered, which adds audible noise in quiet rooms.

Check Power and Host Port Before Buying

The unit ships with an external AC adapter and a USB 3.0 cable; verify you have a free mains outlet and a USB 3.0 Type-A port on the host for full speed. Because RAID is not available, software spanning or backup must be configured in the OS. The enclosure also accepts 2.5-inch SATA drives, but 3.5-inch units require the supplied power brick.
