Five-port USB wall charger

The Orico DCAP-5U-US-WH is a 40 W wall charger with five USB-A ports for phones, tablets and other 5 V devices. It suits travellers or households that need to charge several gadgets from one outlet.

Foldable plug and ABS housing

A foldable US plug and credit-card footprint let the unit slip into a pocket or bag. The chassis uses ABS plastic and includes over-current and over-voltage protection for daily reliability.

40 W total output across mixed ports

Two ports supply up to 2.4 A each while three ports supply 1 A each, so total draw is shared across all connected devices. Buyers needing more than 40 W combined or higher per-port current should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 5 V USB output conform to a specific charging standard that limits the 2.4 A ports?

The two high-current ports supply up to 2.4 A each at 5 V, while the other three ports supply 1 A each; total output is rated at 40 W.

What physical space does the wall charger need at the socket?

It has a foldable US plug and a credit-card sized body that fits alongside other adapters on a power strip.

How is the charger set up for the first time?

Unfold the plug, insert it into an AC outlet, then connect devices with their own USB cables; the smart ports detect each device automatically.
