Dual USB-C and USB-A flash drive

The Orico EB05 is a 32GB flash drive with both USB-C and USB-A connectors built into one body. It is designed for people who move files between phones, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs without carrying separate adapters or cables.

USB 3.2 Gen 1 limits read to 150MB/s

The drive uses the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, so maximum transfer rates are capped at those speeds regardless of the host device. Real-world throughput will be lower when copying many small files or when the connected port negotiates a slower link.

Plug and play on Windows, Mac, Linux.

No drivers are required; the drive mounts instantly on all listed systems. The 360° swivel cap protects both connectors but can be misplaced if not rotated back after each use, and the small size makes it easy to leave behind in a port.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between the USB-C and USB-A connector on this EB05 drive?

You do not choose one; the EB05 has both connectors on a single 360° swivel body, so you flip to the port your device needs — USB-C for iPhone 15/16/17 or Android, USB-A for laptops and PCs.

What does the 150MB/s read figure mean when I copy files to my computer?

It is the maximum sequential read speed over USB 3.2 Gen 1; real-world transfers of large videos or photo batches will approach that rate, while small mixed files will be slower.

What does the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface cap in practice?

The interface tops out at 5 Gbps, so the drive’s 150MB/s read and 70MB/s write speeds are the practical limits you will see on any compatible Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iPadOS device.
